Road cycling has evolved. Riders around the world are pushing their gear further than ever before. They go off the beaten path, explore new roads and spend more time in the saddle on solo rides, group adventures and epic gran fondos, all to satisfy their passion for racing, for adventure. These are the riders who inspired us to create the VR, the most versatile and capable endurance road bike in our history. Drawing on decades of experience in frame construction and carbon fiber innovation, our engineers have meticulously crafted each RV model from the ground up with optimized geometry and material selection. the most refined, harmoniously combining comfort and performance.
ENDURANCE-TUNED COMFORT
Key to the comfort level of RVing is our decades of experience pushing the boundaries of carbon fiber frame construction. The VR is the product of “form follows function” design, with every element of the frame developed with precision to achieve the best ride quality. For example, its rear triangle uses stays that are inserted on the top tube beyond the seat tube. Along with the use of disc brakes, this allowed our engineers to free the seatstays from the need to manage braking forces, meaning they were designed entirely to work in coordination with the profiled seat tube. tapered to provide maximum comfort to the rear triangle. The aluminum versions of the VR saddle are also characterized by this same desire to maximize the comfort of the cyclist.
DISC BRAKES AND THRU AXLES
Disc brakes are the new standard in road bike technology. They offer increased braking power, more precise metering and better performance in all riding conditions. For racers and performance-oriented riders, disc brakes also improve the overall handling of the bike, allowing more speed to be taken through corners for smoother trajectories. Regardless of your age, fitness level, size, or even where you ride, disc brakes offer many advantages over traditional rim brakes. Available on all VR models.
COMPONENT INTEGRATION
With its endurance-oriented geometry and disc brakes, the VR model has extreme all-weather versatility. To further enhance this versatility, our engineers fitted it with sleek, concealed rack inserts, and also developed an exclusive fender kit that seamlessly integrates with the VR frame. And whether it’s a spare inner tube, a tool kit or extra energy bars, all-day bike rides may call for extra gear. The VR frame has additional inserts on the top tube for the installation of a “bento box” type storage bag. The inserts have a standard spacing corresponding to a bottle cage, which gives cyclists the freedom to use a wide selection of storage solutions present on the market.
