The ARS adjustment system allows a progressive adjustment of the adjustment via a wheel. It distributes pressure evenly around the head, eliminating hot spots and pressure points. The adjustable head basket is compatible with ponytails. Eighteen vents angled at a 15 degree angle ensure maximum airflow when the helmet is in the riding position. MIPS protection helps reduce the risk of rotational injury. An integrated polycarbonate layer inside the helmet holds the foam together in the event of a collision, providing better protection against successive impacts. Sphere MIPS has received Virginia Tech’s 5-star “Best Availability” protection rating. A docking area makes it easy to store goggles and the lower shell protection helps prevent damage to the helmet foam. The optional Aeroshell accessory protects against helmets or provides an aerodynamic advantage when desired. The Sphere MIPS weighs only 280 grams.
